Corona's New OOH Ad Campaign Wins in Simplicity

Corona Extra unveils OOH with logo on $100 stock photos.


Corona Extra aimed to connect its brand with beaches and the sea in its new Latin American campaign. We Believers, a Brooklyn, NY-based creative agency delivered an ingeniously beautiful and low-budget solution that helped Corona overcome budget constraints in markets such as Peru, Argentina, and Ecuador.


We Believers' idea was to use $100 stock photos of sunsets. In the chosen images, the setting sun's golden rays cast on the surface of the ocean a shape that resemble a Corona beer bottle. By placing the Corona Extra logo at the right place, the creators helped the viewers see the resemblance more clearly.

The production was completed without any additional retouching on the photos themselves.


In cities innundated by out-of-home advertisements, many of which as of poor quality, this campaign would deliver citizens a welcome visual respite, just like a sip of cold Corona beer would after a day's work.
